Technical Details and Information
– Please submit your project in the same quality as the original recording. For example, if your session was in 24-bit/48 kHz, export your project with that same quality (24-bit/48 kHz). If necessary, we will make the required quality adjustments.
– The service includes delivery of the following files:
• WAV 16 bits/44.1 kHz – for digital distribution (CD Baby, DistroKid, TuneCore, etc).
• 24-bit WAV and original sample rate (eg 48 kHz) – for distribution Hi-Res/Lossless Audio.
• 24-bit WAV and original sample rate (eg 48 kHz) – for distribution Apple Digital Master.
• MP3 – for personal use or independent distribution.
– These services enable distribution to streaming and online sales platforms (DSP). DSPs (iTunes, Spotify, Amazon Music, Pandora, YouTube Music, Deezer, Tidal, etc.) are streaming platforms or digital stores that distribute audio content to consumers.
– The customer is responsible for submitting tracks or albums to online distribution services. You'll need to create an account with a service like CD Baby, which will be able to provide you with an ISRC code for each track, or you can take the steps to get one yourself (see below). Prepare an Excel document with all the required information (album title, track titles, durations, artist, ISRC codes if available, etc.) and don't forget to include the artwork in the correct format, which may vary depending on the distribution platform.
– You can obtain a unique ISRC (International Standard Recording Code) for each track you submit to a digital distribution service. These steps can be carried out on the official website of theISRC, depending on your country (Canada or others).
– The ISRC Code website also allows you to obtain the UPC code for physical formats (CD, Vinyl) and for the digital album (one code for the entire album).
– A version DDPi (for the CD duplication) as well as a CD-R (for approval) are available, at an additional cost of 80$ (album).
